OBITUARY John
Tushcher Died August 15, 1943.
John Tuchscher, 62, of Rte 3, Marshfield, died of pneumonia yesterday morning
at 7:15 o'clock at a Madison hospital, where he had been a patient the past
seven weeks. He had been in poor health since last winter.
The body will lie in state at the Rembs Funeral Home after 7 o'lock Thursday
evening and until the time of the funeral services, and the general rosary
service will be held at the funeral home Friday evening at 8:30 o'clock.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday morning, Aug. 21, at 9 o'clock
at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church. The Rev. Edmund Cramer will officiate
at the Requiem High Mass, and burial will be made in the Catholic cemetery
at Hillside.
Mr. Tuchscher was born in Marathon County July 28, 1881, and received his
education at St. John's Parochial School. He was married Nov. 26, 1912, to
Gertrude Martens at St. Stephen's Church, Chili, by the Rev. Fr. Mueller.
For 10 years Mr. Tuchscher worked as a carpenter in the Town of Fremont, and
then operated a farm there.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mrs. Donald (Eleanor) Stoflet and
Miss Hilda Tuchscher, both of Marshfield; one son, Pvt. Norbert Tuchscher,
stationed somewhere in Alaska; a brother, Alois Tuchscher, Milwaukee; and
two sisters, Mrs. Mary Gruber, Milwaukee, and Mrs. George (Rose) Kanetzger,
Hubertus.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, William and George;
a sister, Elizabeth; and a daughter, who died in infancy.
