John J. Martens IV
John J. MARTENS, IV John's glorious life was tragically taken from him on
September 20, 2003. He was born in Seattle on August 30, 1978. He attended
and graduated with honors from Holy Cross High School in Everett, WA. John
received a Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Washington
in 2001. He immediately went on to become a process engineer for the Intel
Corporation, in Hillsboro, OR.
John is survived by
his parents, Yvonne and John, his sisters, Stephanie and Brittany, his fiance',
Theresa Turner, his grandmother, Josephine and numerous aunts, uncles, and
cousins. In his short 25 years, 21 days John managed to touch lives across
the world, too abundant to mention. John is an inspiration to us all and
the light to brighten our darkest day.
Rosary on Friday, Sept.
26th at 7 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 2501 Hoyt Ave.,
Everett, WA. Funeral Mass on Saturday, Sept. 27th at 10 a.m. at Immaculate
Conception. Interment, Holyrood Cemetery, Shoreline. In lieu of flowers,
contributions can be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society, Lady of Perpetual
Help Catholic Church, 2619 Cedar St., Everett, WA. 98201, in their work
with the homeless and hungry. Arrangements by Beck's Funeral Home, Edmonds

Addendum:
John was a stiaight 'A' student his whole life. When he graduated from
Holy Cross High School in Everett, Washington, he was offered dozens
of accademic scholarships from Universities from all over the country.
He graduated with honors from the University of Washington with degrees
in Chemical Engineering and Mathamatics. He was recruited for employment
by numerous corporation......he picked Intel.
