Josephine Catherine MARTENS Went to be with the Lord on June 27th, 2004. She was born on November 3, 1925, in Omaha, Nebraska. She is survived by her children, John Martens III, Jerry Martens (Sheryl), Julie Larpenteur (John), six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband John J. Martens II (1975), her son Joseph Martens (2001) and her grandson John J. Martens IV (2003). She died peacefully enjoying her favorite pastime-- watching the Mariners. A Rosary will be held on Monday, July 5, 2004 at 7:00 p.m. at Beck's Funeral Home, 405 - 5th Ave. S., Edmonds. A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 6, 2004 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 6511 - 176th SW, Lynnwood. She will be remembered for her love of life and her big heart.
