"Where the buffalo roam....."
"I am a lineman for the county and I drive the main road
Searchin' in the sun for another overload
I hear you singin' in the wire, I can hear you through the whine
And the Wichita Lineman is still on the line

I know I need a small vacation but it don't look like rain
And if it snows that stretch down south won't ever stand the strain
And I need you more than want you, and I want you for all time
And the Wichita Lineman is still on the line"
(Couldn't help it, this song just kept going thru my head as I put the pictures up....Wichita Lineman by Glen Campbell)

As many of you already know Brian graduated from Northwest Lineman's College in Boise last Friday, NWLC is one of two schools in the country to specialize in this kind of trade. He graduated just a few points shy of a 4.0 and did amazing. At the rodeo on Friday they were broken down into teams of 4 to complete tasks totaling 400 points for all tasks completed perfectly, in the schools history no group has achieved a perfect score but leave it to Brian and his group to set the standard, they completed the tasks with a perfect score of 400. The photo named 100% is a view of the back of Brian's hard hat, when the students got a 100% on a test they received a sticker to put on their hats (I am so proud) The photos named Brian's group is the team he worked with, Brian's challenge for the rodeo was to change out a cross arm which you can see also in a photo, a very difficult task maneuvering an 8', 80lb arm almost 50' in the air. One of his teammates, also his roommate, can be seen in the photo labeled Jed saving dummy, Jed will also be the final guy standing up in our wedding. Brian's parents as well as his aunts and uncles from Vegas showed up for the occasion, Greg is a lineman trainer for Nevada power and was able to take some cool photos climbing with Brian. Julie, Greg's wife can be seen in the bucket truck going up for a ride. Climbing as I discovered is a lot harder than it looks, Brian's dad took a spike at it and he is in one of the pictures too. After the rodeo we headed over to a school where awards and graduation certificates were presented.
