Marge Ver Haagh, age 57, De Pere, passed away Fri., Dec. 3, 2004, at a Milwaukee
Hospital following a short and courageous battle with Lou Gehrig’s disease.
She was born March 6, 1947, in Green Bay, daughter to the late Joseph and
Dorothea (Martens) Van Bogart. Marge graduated from East De Pere High School
in 1965, and married James Ver Haagh on July 10, 1965, at St. Mary’s
Church in De Pere. Marge loved spending time with her family, going up north
to her cabin, crossword puzzles, and truly enjoyed being a social person.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Community of De Pere.
Survivors include her loving husband of 39 years, Jim, De Pere; two sons,
Jeff Ver Haagh, De Pere, and Bob (Toni) Ver Haagh, De Pere; two grandchildren:
Nick and Kayla, De Pere; brothers and sisters: Mary Ann (Roger) Boersma, Joan
(special friend-Dick Bos) Quigley, Bob (Wanda) Van Bogart, Norbert (special
friend-Shirley Bader) Van Bogart, John Van Bogart, Jim (Pam) Van Bogart; many
nieces and nephews; and many special friends.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may call Mon., Dec. 6, 2004, from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Mary
Catholic Community, Pope John XXIII Circle, off Sportsman Drive, Town of Ledgeview.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 7 p.m. on Monday at church, with
the Rev. John H. Harper officiating. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has
been established in her name. Cotter Funeral Home, De Pere, is assisting the
family.
The family extends a special thanks to Joe and Jen Van Bogart, Clem and Pam
Van Bogart and the entire Boersma and Quigley families for all their help
and support through this difficult time, and also to Froedtert, Kindred, and
St. Vincent Hospitals.
