Congratulations John Peters Family. June 15, 2004 John is retiring from 32 years working for the state of Wisconsin. John and his family are following the "Free Spirit" of the Martens' family and beginning a new venture. They are becoming CARNIES. (2004) They have built a food trailer and will be traveling
Wisconsin and Iowa with Indianhead Amusements through August serving Fry
Bread, Apple Fritters, and Shrimp on a stick. (Remember the wonderful fried dough Mom used to make?)

In addition, they plan to winter in Mexico, looking at and discovering Mexico's small villages. HOW ABSOLUTELY EXCITING... So, if any of you are at a local fair or festival and see SOMETHIN DIFFRNT Concessions, let John and his family know you're a Martens and have a freebie on them. I will post a schedule when one is available.

John and family are no longer Carnies, but are now in the acting arena......Picture to follow with more info. Sounds like they are really enjoying their retirement.
