LIFETIME DREAM COMES TRUE: Jean Zaske of Boise, ID will begin her bike journey across the United States. I have her blog site if you are interested in following her daily trips. (She flies to Portland, OR on Sat. and will shuttle to Astoria, OR - an orientation will be held on Sunday and the 65 bikers will be on their way Monday morning.) She will be in Wis. Dells on July 20. Jean is the daughter of Marge Martens Zaske (George's daughter)And from Jean's proud Aunt, Sr. Mary Christine: My niece, Jean Zaske, daughter of Marjorie Martens Zaske, daughter of George Hubert Martens is bicycling across the United States. Her group began at the state of Washington coast and by Tuesday had reached Boise, ID. Presumably the group will reach the coast in New Hampshire by August 9th. To bicycle across the United States has been Jean’s lifelong dream. I’m glad it has happened for her.
