Haas,
David Paul MADISON/ PLAIN -
David Paul Haas, age 43, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at his home,
exactly the way he wanted it. His courageousness in death was only met by his
strength, his devotion and love he lived his life with. The constant parade
of friends and family in these last days is proof of his character and the vast
number of lives he touched. He was an outstanding father who dedicated his life
to his boys. David was born on Nov. 13, 1962, in Plain, the son of Paul and
Helene (Bladl) Haas. He graduated from River Valley High School in 1982. David
loved his job as a painter and worked for Klein Dickert from 1985 until 2005.
He enjoyed people and was the perfect friend. David loved to go hiking and biking
around the lake with his boys. His battle with cancer will be a pillar of strength
for all who love him. In addition to his parents, David is survived by his sons,
Richie and Mikey, and their mother, Chris Haas; his sisters, Kathy (Gary) Hack,
Karen Hilsenhoff, Barb (Bruce) Rideout and Betty (Rick) Onofrey; a brother,
Dan (Jan) Haas; mother-in-law, Lynn (Ralph) Stevens; father-in-law, Mike (Sandy)
McConnell; two brothers-in-law, Pat (Jenny) McConnell and Sean (Teena) McConnell;
nieces and nephews, Tara, Mandy, Derek, Caitlin, Danielle, and Jerome; aunts;
uncles; cousins; and all his lifelong friends. Funeral services will be held
at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, at noon on Saturday, Jan.
21, 2006, with Father John Meinholz presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral
home from 9 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday. In lieu of flowers,
memorials may be made to the boys education fund. A special thank you to A.J.
and Ruthann for making David's last wishes come true. Additional thanks to Dr.
Arbaje and his staff and HospiceCare. Dad, We will always love you, see you
later...Love, Richie and Mikey. Gunderson East Funeral & Cremation Centers
